We are saddened by the loss of Senator Daniel Inouye, who dedicated so much of his life to serving his country and his home state. A war hero and the most senior senator at the time of his death, his legacy will not soon be forgotten.
These pictures are from May 17, 2010, when members of the Hawaiian State Society presented Senator Inouye with a Gibson guitar signed by prominent Hawaiian musicians. The guitar was on permanent display in the meeting room of the senator’s office, where it was viewed by all visiting congressmen, senators, dignitaries, VIPs, and constituents.
